National Library Oral History Project
Throughout 2012 the National Library interviewed people who experienced childhood abuse in an institutional setting including out-of-home care across Australia, to record their lives and their histories of being in care. This project was recommended in the two Senate reports Lost Innocents and Forgotten Australians, as a way of giving people a voice, and making sure their experiences aren’t lost to current and future generations.
