Queensland Apology for Forced Adoption Policies and Practices
Queensland Premier Campbell Newman delivers an apology for those effected by the forced adoption policy at Parliament House in Brisbane. Mr Newman apologised to thousands of mothers and children torn apart between the 1950s and 70s - a practice supported by the state.

Remembering the Forgotten Australians
Former Prime Minister and Member for Griffith, the Hon. Kevin Rudd, today launched the new Find and Connect support service in Queensland at a gathering of Forgotten Australians and former British Child Migrants at Lotus Place in South Brisbane. (Last week saw the third anniversary of the National Apology made by Mr Rudd on behalf of the Australian people.)
